Wedding Cakes

At Victoria Jane Bakes we create elegant, handmade wedding cakes in our kitchen in North Norfolk. All our cakes are bespoke and made to order using fantastic, high quality ingredients and great attention to detail to ensure your cake tastes as good as it looks.

We offer a design and tasting consultation where we will work with your theme and ideas to come up with a design that is personal to you and that will be a beautiful centrepiece for your wedding. Whether your style is traditional, vintage, rustic or modern we can create the perfect cake for you.

If you already have a good idea of the cake design you would like then we can usually sort this out with emails and telephone calls if you prefer.

Flavours

All our cakes are freshly baked to order and we use the finest ingredients, locally produced where possible.

Whether you want a traditional flavour or something a little different, it’s really important to us that your cake tastes fabulous. We have some flavour suggestions and combinations on our menu below but the options are endless so if you don’t see what you are looking for then please feel free to ask.

It can be a nice touch to include seasonal flavours that tie in with the date your wedding.

Classic Madagascan Vanilla Cake – always a popular choice, filled with vanilla buttercream and raspberry or strawberry jam. You can easily jazz it up and make it seasonal by changing the flavour of the jam, why not try Strawberry and Champagne in summer, Blackberry or Victoria Plum in late summer/early autumn…?

Salted Caramel Cake – Brown sugar sponge, layered with rich salted caramel buttercream and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce then coated in white Belgian chocolate ganache.

Lemon Sponge Cake – Citrus sponge, drizzled with homemade lemon syrup to keep it beautifully moist, filled with layers of lemon buttercream and tangy lemon curd.

Elderflower & Gooseberry Cake – delicious, perhaps for an early summer wedding cake flavour. Moist sponge cake flavoured with elderflower filled with a light elderflower scented buttercream and tangy gooseberry and Prosecco jam. Other flavours that go well with this cake are strawberry or a citrus flavour such as lemon or lime curd.

Almond Cake – A lovely combination, almond sponge filled with light almond buttercream and raspberry and Amaretto jam.

Chocolate Fudge Cake – rich, moist and delicious, our chocolate fudge cake is very popular, filled with chocolate ganache buttercream and coated in milk or plain Belgian chocolate ganache.

Traditional Rich Boozy Fruitcake – My fruitcake recipe is very popular, really moist, packed with juicy vine fruit all soaked in lots of brandy.

We offer delivery and set up to your reception venue.
